Random Musings
So today is the 20th anniversary of my born day. If you think about, you only get 1 birthday, the others are anniversaries. Kinda like a wedding anniversary; in that marriage you only got married once (unless you’re Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, may they rest in peace), the rest are simply anniversaries. I have to say though it’s not the same without my mother. She could make the suckiest day the best ever, that’s the great thing about mothers. They soften the blows that life gives you as best and as long as they can…
Butter London nail polish is awesome. Yeah the price is a sticker shocker but the colors are fun and based on high-end fashion collections. Butter London incorporates pops of color seen in China Glaze with more conservative colors that OPI is known for. And seriously, with names like ‘knees up’, you can bet you’ll never be bored. :)
The Verdict is in and all I have to say is this: FL had a problem convicting a woman, a mother, for murdering her daughter. That’s it. And people ask why this verdict is so important…I think (just my opinion) that this verdict, or any verdict from a trial this massive is important because it is a reflection of our society at this point…

Okay, so I am what you would call a “tumblr virgin” (or atleast what I would call myself). And I never go into anything without some research. So I proceeded to check out random tumblrs from even more random people and discovered one thing: people in my generation (18-21) think they know every damn thing. Excuse me, what makes us think we know everything? If people had the secret to how to live or be successful at our age, there wouldn’t be big fuck ups. Bill Clinton would never had given the goods to Monica; OJ would have never done “it” and wrote a book about it…I mean we would be perfect. And since we are not….I have to believe that half of my generation does not know one damn thing. Myself included. I blame that on college. Yeah, I said it. We are so busy “learning random facts” that we think we can apply our own brand of logic to solve the problems of humanity, and we are in this bubble where we are adults but not in the realest sense because we are not out in the real world. All in all, I think my generation-myself included-needs to shut up sometimes and play the game and learn from our mistakes. I do not know everything, I try to learn as I go, and I try to learn from the mistakes of those around me. At the end of the day, that is all you can do…
So I have succumbed to Tumblr. At one point I was having my silent protest—okay not really silent—sit in—most definitely not a sit in—against creating a Twitter and a Tumblr. Well, the twitter thing went out the window a long time ago and so did the Tumblr thing. So with my “inner turmoil” dissipated, I am going to give a brief summary of me
I am a 19 year old girl who is attending college ( a college that is way too conservative), I want to try a whole bunch of things (like being a vegetarian, learning how to swim, and how to get really cute affordable clothes and not step a foot into a Plato’s Closet.) I have a dark twisted sense of humor, I die without my ipod, I constantly ponder the meaning of existence…not constantly, but I do do ponder. What I am trying to say is I am very random, I have many interests and the wonderful thing about this tumblr is that is not about one thing. It is about what goes on in my head. And let me warn you, my head is a strange place to be at times.
